AMPIEUS Journal 2013
January-December 2013 Happy New Year!!! It has been a very trying year, AMPIEUS needs a new Guitarist & Bassist-vocals on both a plus. Andrew has moved away and has become an Electrician for the NY Subway System. We hope all is well with Andrew & his Les Paul Gibson. Alex has moved on to new things and has become a very good Vehicle Technician and he has a Love interest. Mike is still involved when he can be, but his job keeps him from his Loving Family so any free time he does have he spends with them with their new Hobby of Riding the Big V-Twin bikes they now own. Ride safe! Daniel had Auditioned for a Band in the hopes of Serving Christ with them Thru Music and maybe bring a song or two along but unfortunately I was not prepared, I was informed that although my playing was very good & that I had been rooted for, they saw how unprepared I was and I truly was and with that ole saying make a good first impression well. Instead of really learning the start of the music I took the Ludwigs down to their bare shells and polished them, re-skinned all the drums, tried the "New Drum Dial to tune them and boy it is so hard to get Stainless Steel Drums Tuned then when they are moved they go out of tune. I also tried a different way for the Kick Drum, I did not place the "Pillow" back inside and that drum really resonated and there was no time to fix that problem that day.. The biggest problem is that I also had the house repairs that needed to be done so I could get the highest appraisal, all because of the first stages of trying to secure a new Mortgage on the house, and all my time was dedicated to that. It was just a bad time for which I am truely sorry for letting The Lord & The Band down including myself. Now that I have been Blessed with a new lower actually very lower then where I was interest rate. I now can dedicate more time to AMPIEUS or any other project that The Lord would like to send my way. The new Mortgage has freed up cash. God is Great in All He does! I Auditioned for another Band which is in the very Early stages, it does look promising for the Lead Guitarist/Vocalist for a Solo Act, I do not think I am a fit. Fall of 2013 I received a call from Mike asking if I would like to move The Band down his was in Fairton. Of course I got right with it, bought a few more things for us to use in recording
